Adrianna E. Crossing, PhD, NCSP, is a postdoctoral neuropsychology fellow at the Boston Child Study Center. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults, specializing in neuropsychological assessment that is grounded in each child’s unique context—their family history, cultural background, and educational environment. Dr. Crossing believes that a good evaluation does more than identify diagnoses; it helps families understand how their child thinks and learns, and provides a clear path forward with recommendations that work in the real world of homes and classrooms.
Dr. Crossing designs individualized test batteries tailored to each child’s presenting concerns and referral questions. As a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, she draws on extensive school-based experience to ensure her recommendations translate into practical support for both families and educators. She completed her predoctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and earned her PhD in School Psychology from Michigan State University. Her broader clinical training includes outpatient psychotherapy for anxiety, selective mutism, and obsessive-compulsive spectrum presentations, with skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Dr. Crossing is committed to culturally affirming, equity-centered care and has specialized experience supporting youth through identity concerns, including navigating gender-expansive identities and discrimination stress. During the academic year, she is an assistant professor of applied psychology at Northeastern University. Dr. Crossing has a longstanding commitment to equity in psychological practice and science, including serving as Chair of the Social Justice Committee for the National Association of School Psychologists (2024-2027) and as Community and Belonging Lead for Northeastern’s School of Community Health and Behavioral Science.
