Intensive Outpatient Program for Complex Care (I-IOP)
Boston Child Study Center offers an Individualized Intensive Outpatient Program (I-IOP) for children, adolescents, and young adults from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with multiple or complex problems. Our program provides a range of supports to bridge the gap between residential or day treatment and traditional outpatient therapy. At BCSC, we believe that treatment serves as a tool to help an individual more effectively live and enjoy life rather than take the place of or pause their daily life. Many individuals need more than the “standard” once-a-week outpatient session to benefit from treatment and some might require treatment that is tailored to their specific lifestyle and needs.
BCSC’s I-IOP begins with an evaluation to put together an individualized intensive program that targets your needs at the appropriate “dosage.” Next, you (and as needed your family) will meet with your team to discuss your individualized goals. Your treatment team will meet weekly to collaborate and assure that they are providing you with the best care that fits your values, relevant cultural factors, and specific needs. You will also be part of a monthly team meeting to monitor progress toward your treatment goals.
