Autism Spectrum Disorder Services

A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will design and support implementation of our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment and treatment services. The BCBA will start by performing a detailed assessment of your child’s milestones and skills. They will use the results to write treatment goals to support and increase your child’s current developmental functioning. Areas targeted may include:

  • Communication and language
  • Social skills
  • Self-care
  • Play and leisure
  • Motor skills

The BCBA will then create, if deemed appropriate within the initial intake, a functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan. Disruptive behaviors (e.g., hitting, swiping, noncompliance, etc.) will be analyzed through various measures, observations, and stakeholder interviews. The results will be used to identify the maintaining variable or function of these behaviors. Subsequently, the BCBA will create an individualized behavior intervention plan to support caregivers in increasing appropriate replacement behaviors and reducing disruptive or inappropriate ones.

Thereafter, the information compiled will be presented to caregivers in an effort to support the entire family system. Recurring caregiver coaching will be offered for further support and assistance.
