Teacher Child Interaction Training (TCIT)
Teacher-Child Interaction Training (TCIT) is a research-informed classroom-based intervention for children with challenging behaviors. The model is designed to work with a range of school personnel in developing classroom-wide strategies to improve behavior, learning, and social interactions in a positive learning environment.
TCIT is assessment-driven and includes observation of behavioral issues and continuous monitoring of progress. One of the unique features of TCIT is live, in-class coaching of school staff in the implementation of skills. The skills are designed to reduce disruptive behavior and increase prosocial behavior, in turn promoting school readiness and overall success in the classroom.
BCSC provides workshop-based training and live in-class coaching for classrooms with children between the ages of 2-7.
