Online Support Group for Students
Experiencing Antisemitism or Islamophobia

At BCSC, we are happy to offer two weekly 1-hour support groups to students who are experiencing Antisemitism or Islamophobia. Groups will focus on discussing personal experiences, effective coping strategies, and connecting with community members to give and receive support. These drop-in groups will be provided pro-bono by BCSC clinicians.

Online Support Group for Students experiencing Antisemitism

Since the Hamas attacks of Oct. 7, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has reported a nearly 400% increase in antisemitic incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault across the US over the same month last year.

Groups will initially be capped at 15 participants per session and registration is required. Please see our invitation for more details and to register: https://forms.gle/GGjUPQhJFDDT2RWQ7

Online Support Group for Students experiencing Islamophobia

On Nov 8, 2023, the Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-MA) published a report that detailed a 300% increase in calls for help during the month of October, compared to the same period last year. This increase was attributed to the impact of events in Gaza and the West Bank and a related surge in Islamophobic rhetoric and hate incidents targeting Muslim, immigrant, and Arab communities across the United States.

Groups will initially be capped at 15 participants per session and registration is required. Please see our invitation for more details and to register: https://forms.gle/QiJQ3iZFTeTUj3UW9
