Clinical Extern

Juliana Holcomb, MS, is a clinical extern who specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) at the Boston Child Study Center. She obtained a B.A. in Psychology and Deaf Studies/American Sign Language from the College of the Holy Cross in 2019. Prior to her graduate studies, Juliana worked for two years at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where she researched youth psychosocial screening and internalizing disorders in pediatric primary care.

Currently, Juliana is enrolled in her third year at Suffolk University’s Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Her clinical work focuses on assisting youth and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive and compulsive disorders, as well as behavioral issues. Her research interests center on multi-informant discrepancies and the integration of shared decision-making into the treatment planning process for youth psychotherapy. Additionally, Juliana has published several peer-reviewed journal articles that explore topics related to youth psychosocial screening, internalizing symptoms, suicidality, and shared decision-making.
