Jenna Macri, M.A., is a clinical extern at the Boston Child Study Center where she provides supervised direct patient care in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to children, adolescents, and young adults. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in brain and cognitive science and in psychology from the University of Rochester and earned her master’s in clinical psychology at University of Massachusetts Boston. Currently, Jenna is a fourth-year doctoral student at UMass Boston, and her research centers around elucidating therapeutic mechanisms in mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies for anxiety.

Prior to her work at the Boston Child Study Center, Jenna worked at the University of Massachusetts Boston Counseling Center, where she provided individual outpatient therapy for young adults presenting with a wide range of clinical concerns. She then received further training in her clinical externship at McLean 3East’s Partial Hospital and Outpatient DBT programs, where she led groups for adolescents struggling with suicidality and emotion regulation, as well as provided parent psychoeducation sessions, family therapy, and co-led multifamily skills groups. She additionally works as an Exposure and Response Prevention coach for youth through the Concord Center.
