Kayla Masterman, LICSW

Kayla Masterman is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker at the Boston Child Study Center. She specializes in evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to treat kids, adolescents and young adults with difficulties in emotion regulation, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, complex trauma, and co-occurring suicidal behaviors and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI).
Kayla earned her B.A. in Psychology at Union College before completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration (SSA) in 2019. Kayla is certified in delivering trauma-informed care. While at SSA, Kayla worked as a Graduate Student Intern at a Chicago public school, clinically supporting the social-emotional needs of students and their families. Additionally, Kayla worked as a Graduate Student Therapist at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. There she gained training and experience applying evidence-based interventions to treat children, adolescents, and teens struggling with OCD, depression, trauma and anxiety.
Kayla believes that by integrating evidence-based treatments with genuine human connection, collaboration, warmth and humor she can assist clients in reaching their goals.
