Kayla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Boston Child Study Center where she provides supervised direct patient care in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Kayla earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration (SSA) in 2019 and is certified in delivering trauma-informed care. While at SSA, Kayla worked as a Graduate Student Intern at a Chicago public school, clinically supporting the social-emotional needs of students and their families. Additionally, Kayla worked as a Graduate Student Therapist at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. Kayla received formal training and experience in utilizing evidence-based treatments for emotion dysregulation, depression, anxiety and OCD. She has also led DBT skills groups as well as an exposure group for individuals with social anxiety.
Kayla is currently licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is accruing hours towards her independent Social Work license under the supervision of Richard Wiggill, LICSW and Nathan Lambright, Psy.D. Kayla believes that by integrating evidence-based treatments with genuine human connection, collaboration, warmth and humor she can assist clients in reaching their goals.
