Dr. Emily Steinberg is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Boston Child Study Center, where she provides evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Dr. Steinberg specializes in treating OCD, anxiety disorders, and emotional dysregulation. She provides dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and caregiver coaching. Dr. Steinberg has also been trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

Dr. Steinberg received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Center for Anxiety, Brooklyn and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Center for Anxiety, Boston. Throughout her graduate training, Dr. Steinberg completed clinical externships at NYU Child Study Center/Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, the Behavioral Health College Partnership at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Health, Mount Sinai Epilepsy Center, and the Children’s Day Unit at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Prior to her graduate training, Dr. Steinberg worked as a Research Coordinator at New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Medical Center conducting research on OCD, anxiety, and eating disorders.

Dr. Steinberg is committed to providing culturally responsive, evidence-based treatment that is flexibly tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She utilizes a collaborative approach and brings warmth and genuineness to her work to help her patients reach their goals.
