Phoebe Hall, PhD

Clinical Psychology Fellow
Dr. Phoebe Hall is a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston Child Study Center. Dr. Hall is trained in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and caregivers with a wide range of mood and anxiety disorders. Her therapeutic style is warm and direct. She often uses humor, mindfulness, metaphor, and self-compassion in her work.
Dr. Hall received her B.A. in English and creative writing from Barnard College before earning her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Boston University. As a graduate student, she trained extensively in cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety in children, adolescents, and adults at The Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. She also trained as a predoctoral extern at Boston Child Study Center where she delivered CBT, ACT, and DBT to adolescents, young adults, caregivers, and families. Dr. Hall completed her doctoral internship at Temple University in the Tuttleman Counseling Center. At Temple, she trained in relational and psychodynamic approaches to treatment and specialized in brief interventions for a range of anxiety and depressive disorders in undergraduate and graduate students.
She has a special interest in mindfulness-based practices including yoga and holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Her doctoral research focused on developing an online family yoga and mindfulness workshop for childhood anxiety.
Dr. Hall works collaboratively with clients and helps them tune into their emotional experiences, explore aspects of their identity, examine their relationships, and tap into their values.
