Dr. Sindwani is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Health Service Provider. She is Director of Clinical Training at the Boston Child Study Center and provides supervision to post-doctoral fellows and clinical externs. Dr. Sindwani specializes in evidence-based cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for youth anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Sindwani received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Duke University and before completing her Master of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Riverbend Community Mental Health before completing her post-doctoral fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sindwani has received extensive training in cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT) of anxiety and depressive disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Sindwani is also trained in providing evidence-based treatments, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), for youth with mood disorders, behavior problems, and OCD. She has published internationally on the topic of anxiety disorders in youth and has also led several workshops for parents, school personnel, and medical professionals to increase awareness and improve recognition of anxiety in the pediatric population.
