Dr. Hart MacCardell is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the Boston Child Study Center. She provides evidence-based treatment for behavioral and mood disorders in children and adolescents, parent coaching, and family therapy.
Dr. MacCardell earned her BA in Psychology from Bucknell University before earning her MA and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Momentous Institute in Dallas, TX and was a Beckwitt-Hughey postdoctoral fellow in adolescent clinical psychology at the McLean Hospital 3East Adolescent DBT Continuum. Dr. MacCardell has extensive experience practicing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and particularly specializes in using parent coaching to maximize the effectiveness of these treatments. Dr. MacCardell also provides supervision and direct services through the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Clinic at BCSC and Teacher-Child Interaction Therapy (TCIT) consultations and coaching with local schools.
